Lottery officials said Monday that Loftus realized he'd won just before leaving his hotel his for pal's nuptials. He kept the ticket safe in his pocket and said he told his friends "that the groom wasn't the only lucky guy in the room!"

The 7-Eleven store where Loftus bought the winning ticket will receive a $2,000 bonus.

The $5 instant ticket game offers $1.9 million in prizes topping out at $200,000. Lottery officials say five of the top prizes won in this game have not been claimed.
