Immerse Yourself in Advanced Spanish Classes; or Join Beginning and Intermediate Levels

Deerfield Park District now offers three levels of Spanish classes for adults 18 years and above. A new Advanced Spanish Class, with Instructor Shirley Novak, is conducted entirely in Spanish with an emphasis on speaking, listening and reading comprehension. This course is designed for students who have taken a previous advanced Spanish class, or three years of high school or college level Spanish. Participants will also continue to learn new grammatical concepts and vocabulary. Advanced Spanish (#113133 - Sect. 01) is offered on Tuesday evenings, 7-9:00 pm, October 7 through November 25, at the Patty Turner Center (PTC), in Deerfield. Materials are included in the fee of $90 for the eight-week class, $80 for Deerfield Park District residents.

For adults interested in Beginners or Intermediate Spanish Classes, native Spanish speaker Ana Trbojevich teaches classes on Friday mornings, starting September 12 and running through November 21, at the PTC. Both levels are designed for students interested in learning Spanish and conversing with others in a small group setting. In Beginners Spanish (#113116 - Sect. 02), Trbojevich cover the basics in an introductory level class, 10:45-11:45 am. She continues with lessons at the Intermediate level (#113116 - Sect. 01) weekly, 9:30 - 10:30am. Each of these classes has a fee of $90. For individuals who are members of the Patty Turner Center, the fee is $75. Beginners and Intermediate Spanish classes are offered again starting in early January.

PTC is at 375 Elm St., in Deerfield. For more information, call 847-940-4010 or email: info
