Police: Chicago woman tried to kidnap boy at O'Hare
Chicago police say a woman snatched a 2-year-old boy at O'Hare International Airport and tried to run away with him.
Police say 24-year-old Olachi Etoh of Chicago is charged with aggravated kidnapping and misdemeanor battery after the Tuesday afternoon incident.
Authorities say Etoh picked up the boy from where he was standing at the baggage area with his mother. Police said Etoh tried to take the boy down an escalator before his mother was able to retrieve him “within moments.”
Police say the mother and boy do not know Etoh.
Etoh does not have a listed home phone number in Chicago. She was due to appear Wednesday in bond court.
