Cubs to host Jackie Robinson West little leaguers today
A championship team will be at Wrigley Field on Labor Day: The Jackie Robinson West All-Stars.
The team that won the national Little League championship game before falling to South Korea in the world championship game last month will be honored by the Cubs on Monday.
In a news release, the Cubs say the little leaguers will get to meet the Cubs during batting practice, throw a ceremonial first pitch and then during the 7th inning stretch, lead the crowd in the traditional singing of 'Take Me Out To The Ballgame.'
Last week, the Jackie Robinson West All-Stars were welcomed back to Chicago with a rally on the city's South Side, a parade through the city and another rally at Millennium Park.
