Arlington Hts. denial of term limits not a pretty picture

Let me recount. A large number of people agreed that a petition for term limits should appear on the ballot. One person objected. Three persons of the village board accepted the lone objection and decided that the question could not be placed on the ballot. Oh, yes, they are the persons who would be affected by the possible approval.

Please tell me what is wrong with this picture?
