Chicago man delivers his baby girl oon Edens expressway

Lincolnwood officials say an off-duty paramedic delivered his baby girl after making an emergecy stop on the Edens Expressway near Touhy Ave.

Daniel Lynch of the Evanston Fire Department and his wife, Elizabeth, were on their way to a local hospital early Friday morning when they pulled over to deliver the baby. Officials say Daniel Lynch continued to drive his family to Evanston Hospital after his daughter was born.

The couple, who lives in Edison Park, named their daughter Mary Margaret Lynch.

Evanston hospital says Mary is healthy and weighs 8 pounds, 7 ounces.
