Leading economic indicators in U.S. Increased 0.9% In July

The Conference Board's index of U.S. leading indicators, a gauge of the outlook for the next three to six months, increased 0.9 percent in July, the New York-based group said today.

The median forecast of economists surveyed by Bloomberg called for an advance of 0.6 percent. Estimates from 49 economists ranged from gains of 0.3 percent to 1.1 percent.
