As a resident of Palatine (24+ years), I would like to know why the Palatine Library is spending $15,192 ($1,899 plus tax x 8) for those ridiculous faucets in the remodeled washrooms. I would expect to find something like this in one of Saddam's palaces, only with the added touch of being gold plated. In fact with each one at over $2,000 (with tax), I would expect that it would be gold plated!

To add more salt on the wound, already one of the two Dyson Airblades in the 1st floor men's room is busted.

I had my full bathroom totally redone for less than $5,000. Better than decent faucets can be had for well under $150 apiece. If you are responsible for this waste of taxpayer money, you should resign. If the whole library board agreed to this, it should resign as well.
