Elgin

• Ivan D. Carrizales, 28, of the 1000 block of Liberty Street, Aurora, was charged Thursday with six counts of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, according to court records. He is accused of delivering between one and 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine on March 20 and April 1 while within 1,000 feet of Heritage Health: Therapy and Senior Care, 355 Raymond Street, Elgin. He is also accused of delivering less than one gram of a substance containing cocaine on March 14 while within 1,000 feet of Ellis Middle School, 225 South Liberty Street, Elgin. His bail was set at $200,000 in Kane County bond court, and his next court date is Aug. 20.

• Waddell Adams, 29, of Oxford Road, Carpentersville, was charged Thursday with two counts of resisting or obstructing a police officer, aggravated assault and possession of marijuana, according to court records. He is accused of possessing less than 2.5 grams of a substance containing cannabis. He is also accused of refusing to comply with a police officer's commands, and he knocked the officer to the ground while the officer was trying to arrest and handcuff him. He also threw a punch at the officer, police said. Adams' bail was set at $25,000 in Kane County bond court, and his next court date is Aug. 15.

• Deondre L. Nance, 19, of the 300 block of Billings Street, Elgin, was charged Friday with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to court records. He is accused of causing three minors, one who is under the age of 17, to walk around hours past their curfew. Nance was also on probation for a class 2 burglary, police said. His bail was set at $10,000 in Kane County bond court, and his next court date is Aug. 14.

• Marvin C. Mitchell, 41, of the 200 block of Brook Street, Elgin, was charged Thursday with domestic battery and possession of marijuana, according to court records. He is accused of grabbing a victim, his girlfriend, around the throat. He also had less than 2.5 grams of a substance containing marijuana in his possession. His bail was set at $10,000 in Kane County bond court, and his next court date is Aug. 15.

Anthony S. Quezada, 23, of the 1500 block of Maple Lane, Elgin, was charged Monday with retail theft, according to court records. He is accused of taking merchandise valued at less than $300 from Wal-Mart on the 1100 block of South Randall Road and then trying return it. His bail was set at $50,000 in Kane County bond court, and his next court date is June 19.
