Democrats have made a mess of Illinois

I got a laugh out of Jim Peterson's July 3 letter and what is at best the comical description of his Democratic Party. He doesn't like a president lying to the people; "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor; if you like your insurance company, you can keep your insurance company." Words spoken by Bush, or Clinton? No, by Mr. Obama, lying through his teeth.

If you like your state being $100 billion in debt because of Mike Madigan and Rod Blagojevich, then vote for the Democrats and make our state, what, $200 billion dollars in debt. Peterson thinks the rich will bail us out, but like the "unsinkable" Titanic, he's wrong again. After the elections in November the boss (Madigan) will instruct his puppets to increase taxes forcing more people and companies to leave the state.

Mr. Peterson, this will be the middle class that gets it in the neck again. All politicians are thieves, but the Democrats make Bernie Madoff the erstwhile liberal languishing in jail for his profligate promises look like Mother Teresa.
