Body discovered in Bolingbrook retention pond

A man's body was found floating Tuesday in a Bolingbrook retention pond, officials said.

Bolingbrook police and fire officials were dispatched about 10:52 a.m. to the pond on the 300 block of Woodcreek Drive, according to an email from Bolingbrook Police Department Lt. Mike Rompa.

A landscaping crew had seen the body floating face down in the pond.

The Will County coroner has been contacted, and the body was taken out of the pond.

Authorities are working to identify the body.
