Cut taxes, regulation for a stronger economy

"Why U.S. economy outpaces rest of world" is the heading for a recent Daily Herald front-page story written by the left-wing Associated Press. Of course, they failed to recognize that the true engine of our economy is our free enterprise system. They failed to recognize that entrepreneurs in a free enterprise system can flourish and make businesses like Intel, Microsoft, Google and Facebook.

Instead, the article points to our banks as though other countries can flourish if they would just improve their banking systems.

Our system has been so strong that it has been able to keep its head above water even though taxes and regulations have been significantly increased. Our economy was great in the 1980s and 1990s when taxes and regulations were cut, and it can be that way again.
