Cary Parks offers 'Luau Day at the Pool'
The Cary Park District pool will turn into a luau-themed beach party. "Luau Day at the Pool" will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at the Cary Park District pool at the Community Center, 255 Briargate Road, Cary.
Activities for the day included swimming, shaved ice, raffles, hula hoop contests, and limbo contest. From 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., Peaches Beach Party, a three-piece band playing the hits of Jimmy Buffet, Van Morrison, The Beach Boys and others, will perform on the pool deck.
The first 50 guests will receive a free "Luau Day" T-shirt. Visitors receive $2 off their admission into the luau.
