A semitrailer truck fire closed all southbound lanes of I-355 for an hour and a half Wednesday afternoon near Roosevelt Road in DuPage County.

State police said the truck was loaded with paper products when it caught fire about 1:10 p.m. as it traveled south on I-355.

No one was injured. Traffic was backed up for several miles. Traffic began moving on the shoulder about 2:30 p.m. and all lanes reopened by 3:10 p.m., state police said.

No immediate cause for the fire was apparent because of the damage to the semi, police said. The fire remains under investigation.
