So much money spent on district logo

The District 214 marketing gurus recently sent a mailing describing and glorifying their new logo and "marketing approach." What a great waste of tax money. Why does this board think they need to do this? They actually hired a marketing firm for this and also have a communications person on staff. Oh yes, they "need" to "expand their influence" on the national scene. Just wondering here.
