Teens seriously injured in ATV accident near Lily Lake

Two teens suffered head injuries and were taken to a hospital by helicopter after a motorcyclist was hit from behind by an ATV Tuesday afternoon near Lily Lake, according to the Kane County sheriff's office.
Police were called to the 45W700 block of Read Road around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, officials said.
Three boys in their mid-teens were riding off-road vehicles in the road, police said. A teen riding a motorcycle stopped, but another riding an ATV, whom authorities did not identify, struck the motorcyclist from behind, police said.
The third boy stopped to give assistance to the other two drivers.
The ATV came to rest on one of the subjects, according to police.
