Rosemont to remove 24 trees

Crews will remove 24 trees throughout Rosemont that have been deemed dead by village officials. Most of the trees are on private property; some are in the right of way in the gated residential section of town, according to Mayor Brad Stephens. None are ash trees. The village board last week accepted a $25,454 proposal from Kramer Tree Specialists to remove the trees and stumps. There are no plans to replace the trees.
