Precipitation amounts are expected to reach between a tenth and a quarter of an inch in the northern suburbs, meteorologists forecast on National Weather Service website.

Some roadways are reporting lane closures due to standing water on the pavement. Southbound Milwaukee Avenue north of Route 60 in Libertyville has been reduced to one lane, while Sunset Avenue near Delany Road in Gurnee has been closed.
