Benghazi victims deserved better
Clearly the irony was lost on our leadership when the attack began on our consulate in Benghazi.
It was, after all, the 11th anniversary of 9/11. Why would the State department and the White House be concerned about the security of our Ambassador and staff, even though every other country had pulled out. The attackers were all well armed, well organized and their mission clarity was evident to everyone from the outset. Everyone, that is, except American leadership. The attack on our consulate in Benghazi was not carried out by protesters upset over a video.
The question is why our leadership was unwilling or unable to issue a cross-border command to aid and defend Americans under attack. To Chris Stevens and Sean Smith and Ty Woods and Glen Doherty and their families, you deserved better.
