Join a Senior Stroll on Thursday

The Forest Preserve District of Kane County invites area seniors to join their free monthly "Senior Stroll" program.

On the first Thursday of each month, forest preserve naturalists lead a leisurely walk through a Kane County Forest Preserve, and share ecology highlights along the way.

The strolls last about an hour, with social time and refreshments following the walk.

The next "Senior Stroll" takes place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 5, at Bowes Creek Woods Forest Preserve, 9N420 Crawford Road, Elgin. All seniors are welcome. Registration is not required for this program.

On July 3, it will be held at Dick Young Forest Preserve, 2S326 Nelson Lake Road, Batavia. Meet at the east entrance.

On Aug. 7, it will be at Camp Tomo Chi-Chi Knolls, 40W095 Freeman Road in Gilberts, and on Sept. 4, at Blackberry Maples Forest Preserve, 43W231 Main St., Elburn. Meet at the shelter.
