Make a difference, plant a few trees
Do you notice the lack of trees in many places? Do you care about trees? Do you know how much they can help?
Deforestation is a big problem, to us and to animals. Trees absorb carbon dioxide, slowing global warming, and the trees roots create spaces in the ground helping keep water levels down.
Nearly 150 to 200 species of animals go extinct or endangered every year, mainly from deforestation and diseases. Acid rain from too much carbon dioxide also kills trees and can bring diseases, which can harm as well.
Here are a few ways you can help. If everyone in the world planted two trees there would be around 14 trillion new trees planted. You can help at home by recycling paper products, planting a few trees and convincing friends and neighbors to do so as well. You may only be one small person, but together we can make a big difference.
