Wage increase won't affect fast-food execs
Columnist Byron York pleads the case for the fast foodies victimized by President Obama's wage increase for federal employees. Case in point: Three McDonald's operators who'll soon close at Navy bases, even though the salary increase doesn't go into effect for 6½ months.
Byron, do you think the Obama edict is just an excuse to close marginally profitable stores? Do you think closing on a Navy base, and firing the wives and children of our fighting men and women, would be politically incorrect - were it not for the "Obama's fault? excuse? Please visit Vegas for the next McDonald's owner-operator meeting. Watch them wager untold thousands a day with $100 chips. Observe their own restaurant habits at the $500 dinner places on the strip. Then tell me how much they're victimized vs. the Navy families who work and visit their stores, and who defend our country, as a result of their closings.
