Aurora molester sentenced to 15 years
An Aurora man was sentenced to 15 years in prison Friday for sexually assaulting a girl he was baby-sitting, authorities said.
Regulo Castro, 36, of the 600 block of May Street, agreed to the sentence in exchange for a guilty plea to predatory criminal sexual assault, criminal sexual assault and child pornography, according to a news release from the Kane County state's attorney's office.
Prosectors say Castro sexually assaulted the victim, who was younger than 13, between September 2009 and February 2014. They also say Castro used his smartphone to photograph the acts, which took place at his Aurora residence.
Authorities say they found out about the assaults from Castro's wife, who saw the images from Castro's phone.
Castro also lived with his wife on the 100 block of North Street in Geneva, authorities said.
Castro has already served 463 days at the Kane County jail, where he has been held since his arrest in lieu of $2 million bond.
