Hanover Park police encourage homeowners to maintain yards

Hanover Park police are encouraging residents to maintain their yards to meet village rules.

The department's code enforcement unit will issue a notice to any businesses or homes with grass and weeds taller than eight inches. If the property owner does not remedy the situation within a time frame written on the notice, then the village's contracted mower will cut the lawn and the property owner will be billed for the service, police said in a news release.
