Pastor to discuss men and women at Geneva church

The Rev. Thomas J. Loya will discuss "Who is Man for Woman and Who is Woman for Man" at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville, Road, Geneva.

He will be teaching how the mystery of God's revelation is stamped in our very bodies. Loya explores the archetypes and "hardwiring" of maleness and femaleness according to the Divine Order. Using the language of Pope John Paul II's "Theology of the Body," he demonstrates how and why God created men and women with different yet complementary physical, spiritual, and intellectual characteristics.

Loya is a nationally known speaker and host of multiple radio programs, including "Light of the East," heard in more than 60 U.S. cities on EWTN Radio and other Catholic networks. He is pastor of Annunciation of the Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church, Homer Glen.

The event will take place in the church's multipurpose room. There is no charge, but a free will donation will be accepted.
