Connor Hickey went 4-for-4 with 2 runs scored as the Redwings (16-8, 7-4) seized control of the East Suburban Catholic Conference game by scoring 3 runs in the top of the third. Chris Whelan and Jason Blohm went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI. Matt Emerick pitched a complete-game 4-hitter with 6 strikeouts and a walk.

The Broncos (18-4, 12-2) won the five-inning Suburban Christian Conference game behind Sean Frontzak's 1-hitter with 5 strikeouts and no walks. Rhett Wojkovich went 3-for-3 with a double, triple and 2 RBI.

Lyons Twp. 2, Glenbard West 1:

Trailing 1-0 since the third inning, the Lions scored twice in the bottom of the sixth to cap the three-game sweep in the West Suburban Silver. Hayden Carlson went 2-for-3 with an RBI for Glenbard West (14-13, 7-8) while Will Simoneit drove in the Hilltoppers' run.

York 2, Proviso West 0:

Zac Miller, Brendan Ryan and James Pagni combined on a 1-hitter with 9 strikeouts for the Dukes (16-11, 10-5) in the West Suburban Silver victory. Anthony Santos drove in a run and Nolan Spencer scored twice.
