17 unlocked vehicles burgled overnight May 5 in Arlington Hts.

Arlington Heights Police report there were 17 burglaries of unlocked vehicles overnight May 5.

Burglars entered 10 unlocked vehicles on the 1600 and 1800 blocks of North Fernandez, 2200 block of North Kennicott, 1900 block of North Chestnut, 1600 block of North Vail and 2200 block of North Ridge.

They stole a bracelet with charms and a laptop computer out of a Toyota Corolla, loose change out of a 2005 Ford Explorer and 1999 Buick Regal, a wallet containing $60 and credit cards out of a 2011 GMC Acadia, a laptop computer out of a 2008 Honda CR-V, and a wallet out of a 2003 Toyota Sienna van. Value was estimated at $2,380.

Burglars entered seven unlocked vehicles on driveways and in garages overnight May 5-6 on the 2000 block of North Chestnut, 700 block of West Ladd, 1700 block of North Fernandez, and 400 block of West Ivy.

A gas generator was taken out of a trailer, a generator was taken out of a garage, two radar detectors and two pairs of sunglasses were taken out of a 2012 Mazda Tribute and a 2012 Toyota Venza in a garage. Value was estimated at $2,400.
