Organizers of the annual A-May-Zing Mundelein Day of Caring are looking for volunteers for the May 17 event. Volunteers should plan on working through late morning or early afternoon on spring cleanup projects. Anyone who wants to volunteer or donate supplies should call Jennifer Marshall at the Mundelein police department, (847) 968-3775. In 2013, 119 Mundelein residents including families, Scout troops, churches, local organizations, and businesses participated in the event. These volunteers completed spring cleanup projects at 42 locations in the village that ranged from yard work, window washing, and home safety inspections to small outdoor repairs. Visit website www.mundelein.org/police for more information regarding A-May-Zing Mundelein.
