4,000 gallons of fuel spill from Wisconsin train

WATERFORD, Wis. - Authorities say 4,000 gallons of diesel fuel has spilled from a Canadian National Railway train in Racine County.

Waterford Fire Chief Richard Mueller says the train hit a piece of metal on the tracks. The debris punctured the locomotive's fuel tank, causing the spill about 10 p.m. Sunday.

Mueller tells WTMJ-TV crews were able to clean up about 1,600 gallons of fuel and the rest soaked into the ground.
