Rain barrels, plants for sale:

The Lake County Forest Preserve District, Stormwater Management Commission and the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County again will team up May 10 to sell rain barrels and compost bins and native plants. The sale will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Independence Grove Forest Preserve, which is on Route 137 east of Milwaukee Avenue near Libertyville. The barrels are $60 and the bins are $50. The native plant sale will also be held Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the forest preserve. For information, visit swalco.org, lakecountyil.gov/stormwater or lcfpd.org/plantsale.
