Bartlett 11, West Chicago 9: Holly Pagan went 5 innings then came back to get the last out of the game as Bartlett prevailed in the Upstate Eight Valley.

"It was a wild game against a team that would not quit," said Bartlett coach Jim Wolfsmith. "It was the strangest game I've been a part of."

Alex Morales went 3-for-5 with a triple and an RBI to lead the offense for the Hawks (12-4, 6-2). Katie Fornoff (2B), Amy Johnson (2B), Dana Paul (3-for-4, 2 RBI) and Kayla Haberstich (2-for-5, 2 RBI) also contributed.

Huntley 4, Jacobs 3: Jessica Shields had the game-winning hit in the bottom of the seventh inning to lead Huntley (7-7, 2-2) to a Fox Valley Conference Valley Division win. Brittany Koss (3-for-4, 2B, RBI) and Shannon Walsh (2-for-3, 2B) also contributed for the Red Raiders and Haley Spannraft was the winning pitcher. Courtney Cotugno (3-for-4, 2B, RBI), Alyssa Lach (3-for-3, RBI) and Taylor Belo (2-for-3) led Jacobs (11-6, 4-3). Kelsey Peters took the loss.

ACC 9, St. Edward 8: Ryann Scully (2 triples, 2 RBI), Jasmine Deleon (2B, 2 RBI) and Megan Strong (RBI, 2 SBs) each had 3 hits for St. Edward in this Suburban Christian setback, the Green Wave's second-straight 1-run loss. Emily Stapay was the losing pitcher.

Waubonsie Valley 6, South Elgin 1: Sam Helton drove in the Storm's only run in this Upstate Eight Valley loss. Paige Allen was the losing pitcher for South Elgin (8-7, 2-4).

St. Charles East 11, Larkin 0: Sophie Young had Larkin's only hit in this UEC River loss. Sarah Hansen was the losing pitcher for the Royals (3-9, 1-6).

St. Charles North 14, Streamwood 1: Kaitlyn Hedger's home run was the only hit for the Sabres (1-8, 1-7) in this UEC River loss. Katie Purcell was the losing pitcher.

CL South 14, Dundee-Crown 4: Kim Woods (2B, RBI), Sam McLean (3B, RBI) and Taylor Kassel (2 doubles, RBI) each had 3 hits for the Gators (6-6, 3-3) in the FVC Valley. Hailee Massie (2B, RBI) added 2 hits, while Erin Yazel and Amy Ciaverella each had doubles and Caitlin Fater a triple. Sam Burgard was the winning pitcher, allowing 7 hits with 7 strikeouts. Mallory Schilf had a home run and Casey Weeks added a double and 2 RBI for Dundee-Crown (2-5, 0-4). Jessica McVicker also drove in a run. Lauren Girard took the loss.

Hampshire 2, Grayslake North 1: Aly Snider (2B) and Peyton DeChant drove in the runs for the Whip-Purs (11-7, 4-0) in the FVC Fox. Haley Widmayer allowed just 3 hits and had 9 strikeouts to earn the win.
