Fremont Library to Offer Annual Writing Series
Fremont Public Library will again this spring offer a series of writing workshop as part of Inside Writing & Publishing, a series of workshops sponsored each spring by Fremont Library and four other area libraries. Brochures listing all the programs are available at the library, located at 1170 N. Midlothian Rd., Mundelein.

Nature Writing Workshop
Wednesday, May 7, 7-8 p.m.
In this journal writing workshop author Gail Lukasik will introduce you to several writing exercises meant to foster self-expression and a close observation of nature. Using nature as your guide and inspiration, these journaling exercises will inspire other kinds of writing, such as poetry, essays, and short stories. Copies of her books will be available for sale.
A "Novel" Experience
Saturday, May 10, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Whether you're a seasoned writer or aspiring novice, chances are writing a novel is on your perennial to do list. Want to turn that dream into a reality? You can-with passion, knowledge and dedication. Amy Gail Hansen, the Chicago area author of The Butterfly Sister, will share her insights on writing a novel, from inception to rough draft, from revisions to literary agents.
Writing for the Christian Fiction Market
Wednesday, May 21, 7:00 p.m.
Author Lynn Austin will share her journey as a writer of Christian fiction. Eight of her historical novels have won Christy Awards for excellence in Christian fiction. Her novel, "Hidden Places," was made into a film for the Hallmark Channel.
