Talk gets bigger, stick gets smaller

In regards to the situation in the Ukraine; it is my opinion that all of the actions by this president, his administration and the current Senate has given Russia and others the perception that they can do almost anything they want and get away with it.

The U.S. government is all talk and no action - same with the UN. Our responses to the situations and actions regarding Iran, North Korea, Syria and even the attack in Benghazi all lend supportive evidence to this perception. Add to all this the recent announcement that we are going to cut our military by almost 40 percent. In addition, our financial condition is the worst it has ever been in peacetime outside of the Great Depression.

Bottom line is we are vulnerable and toothless with little and dwindling reserves and resources - both financially and militarily as well as the resolve to do anything to stop or counteract the aggressive actions by any of these countries.

If anyone seriously thinks it was just a coincidence that the Russian actions in the Ukraine happened very soon after the announcement of our plans to cut the military and the limp responses in Syria, Iran, Benghazi and North Korea - is simply dreaming.

We now are a nation that talks big and carries a little stick - and the talk gets bigger while the stick keeps getting smaller.
