Bullying prevention program on tap in Maine Township

Maine Township will host a workshop Thursday on bullying prevention, intervention and reconciliation, officials said.

Author Carrie Goldman, an expert in the field of bullying, will speak during the event, scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. at Maine Township Town Hall, 1700 Ballard Road in Park Ridge.

Goldman, who wrote "Bullied: What Every Parent, Teacher, and Kid Needs to Know About Ending the Cycle of Fear", will offer tips to effectively manage bullying. The workshop is part of a spring series of programs organized by the township's MaineStay Youth & Family Services.
