More than 100 retirees and senior citizens were treated to a 30th annual band concert and breakfast at Jefferson Middle School in Aurora April 11.

Jefferson Principal Patricia Cross welcomed guests.

Lila Fagan directed the seventh- and eighth-grade band, featuring a cornet solo by Richard Aldana, a seventh-grade saxophone quartet, an eighth-grade clarinet choir and students parading with armed-services flags to "Marches of the Armed Forces."

The event was funded with a grant from the A+ Foundation for West Aurora Schools.
