Gnan leads St. Edward shutout win

St. Edward 3, Champaign Central 0: Chelsea Gnan garnered a hat trick and Paige Dykstra had 2 saves in a semifinal win of the Urbana Invitational.

Dundee-Crown 2, Rolling Meadows 2: The Chargers (2-2-1) managed a tie at the Lake Park Invite, which included a goal from Ashley Raby and an assist from Kyrstal Meraz. The Mustangs provided the Chargers' second goal by scoring in their own net. D-C goalkeeper Isabel Miranda accounted for 9 saves.

Timothy Christian 3, Westminster Christian 2: The Warriors (3-1) cut a 3-0 deficit at the half to 1 in the second half, but Liz Meschewski's pair of goals were not enough to avoid Westminster's first loss of the spring. Goalkeeper Savannah Dutcher made 11 saves.

Huntley 2, Oak Park-River Forest 0: Taryn Jakubowski scored twice for the Red Raiders (8-2), who notched a win at the PepsiCo Showdown. Kaitlin Constantino registered an assist and Jessica Galason recorded her eighth shutout with 4 saves.

Loyola 9, Burlington Central 1: Alyssa Messina scored off a penalty kick for the Rockets (3-1-1), who were trumped by the 3-time PepsiCo Showdown champion Loyola.

Jacobs 2, Plainfield East 0: Also at the PepsiCo Showdown, the Golden Eagles scored goals in each half and Liz Foster recorded 10 saves in a shutout win.
