Longtime Dist. 207 board member resigns

Longtime Maine Township High School District 207 board member Donna Pellar is stepping down because she is moving out of the district, officials said. Pellar, a retired educator, was elected to the board in 1995.

The school board is looking for candidates to fill the remaining time in her term, which ends in April 2015. Interested candidates must be citizens of the United States, at least 18 years old, a resident of the state and school district for at least one year, a registered voter, and not a school trustee or a school treasurer, officials said.

Candidates are invited to submit letters of interest and resumes to Board President Margaret McGrath, Attention: Ginny Edwards, 1131 South Dee Road, Park Ridge, IL 60068, by April 22. Letters of interest and resumes may be also be submitted in person or emailed to vedwards@maine207.org.

The board will interview candidates and select one at the May 5 board meeting.

The district includes Des Plaines, Park Ridge, and portions of Mount Prospect, Rosemont, Niles, Morton Grove, Glenview, Norwood Park, Harwood Heights and Norridge.
