Lake County Haven is hosting Kitchen Conversations, small gatherings at the main shelter in Libertyville. Attendees will learn about homelessness, what causes it and what can end it. The next session is at 6 p.m. Friday, April 11, as pressing issues affecting local homeless women and children are discussed. To attend, RSVP to Maria at (847) 680-1870 or Volunteer@LakeCountyHaven.org to received details and meeting location. Also, for $243, interested persons can Adopt-a-Night to provide sanctuary and sustenance for a local family. Visit www.lakecountyhaven.org or contact Kate at (847) 680-1901.
