Thieves break in to Chicago Saint Laurent store

Thieves broke the glass window of an upscale designer store off Chicago's Michigan Avenue shopping district, stealing high-end merchandise before running away.

Police say Friday morning's break in at Saint Laurent took place just before 3 a.m.

The Chicago Sun-Times, citing police at the scene, reports thieves used baseball bats to break the front windows and got away with hundreds of thousands of dollars of accessories.

Police spokeswoman Janel Sedevic says authorities are still trying to figure out how many items were taken and their value.

She says investigators are reviewing security footage.

So far, no arrests have been made.
