Hersey wins key MSL East matchup

Hersey improved to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in the Mid-Suburban East after claiming a 6-5 victory over Wheeling, which was unbeaten in the division entering Wednesday's matchup.

Katie Lutz and Katelyn Emmerling each had 2 goals for the Huskies.

Therese Godlewski scored twice for Wheeling (7-3, 3-1).

Conant 22, Hoffman Estates 3: The Cougars got their fourth MSL West win without a loss as Carmen Rosas (6 goals) and Angie Skittone (5) led the way in scoring. Conant improved to 7-3 overall.

Palatine 24, Barrington 6: Rachel Chumbook (11 goals) and Caroline Wojtas (9) were a force for Palatine (9-2, 4-0), which remained tied with Conant for the MSL West lead.
