Stevenson student honored:
Stevenson High School junior Kevin Cheng was named a semifinalist in the American Museum of Natural History's Young Naturalist Awards competition, school officials announced Tuesday. His project concerned the effects of invasive buckthorn berries and fruits on the germination of native Illinois species. Cheng completed the project as a member of the Lincolnshire school's Science Reach Club.
