Daily Herald report

Baseball and softball memorabilia are wanted for a new exhibit at the Aurora Historical Society, titled "Play Ball, Aurora!" that will open May 23.

The exhibit will trace the development of the two sports in Aurora from the Civil War period to today. Pictures, uniforms, gear, trophies, programs, video and other artifacts are needed to round out the society's own collection. Contact the historical society by April 18 with a description and photos of items to loan or donate.

Photos can be emailed to; mailed to AHS, P.O. Box 905, Aurora, IL 60507; or dropped off at the museum store from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday to Friday at 20 E. Downer Place, Aurora. For information, call (630) 906-0650.
