Weber Grill offers Lenten menu
Available through April 17, Weber Grill's Lenten lunch menu includes the blackened catfish sandwich with lettuce, tomato, onion and lemon aioli and kettle chips for $12; and the wood-fired crabcake sandwich with lemon aioli, lettuce, tomato, onion, kettle chips and coleslaw for $12.50. Dinner options include the grilled Caribbean arctic char with a citrus marinade, couscous, roasted peppers and mango pineapple mojo for $22.50 or the blackened catfish with Tabasco butter sauce, sweet potatoes and sauteed spinach for $18.

Restaurant Michael honors chef Banchet
Chef Michael Lachowicz invites everyone to celebrate the glory days of Le Francais with a tribute to founding chef Jean Banchet who passed away earlier this year. Guest chefs and veterans of the acclaimed Wheeling restaurant have scheduled a wine dinner for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 3. The menu includes Poached Maine Lobster Salad in the Style of Jean Banchet, and Pitivier of Foie Gras and Duck, Sauce Périgord and more. $149 per person plus tax and gratuity.

New Firehouse Subs
Fast-casual Firehouse Subs recently opened its newest location in Glen Ellyn. Known for serving its meats and cheeses steamed piping hot and piled high, subs come toasted with fresh veggies and condiments. Try the Hook & Ladder sub, served with smoked turkey breast, honey ham and Monterey Jack cheese. A hand-painted mural features an engine from Glen Ellyn's Volunteer Fire Company and the village's cardboard boat regatta. It's open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
