Fire breaks out in empty Libertyville barn

Firefighters in Libertyville responded to a fire that broke out Saturday night in a barn on Bradley Road, authorities said Sunday.

The fire occurred at about 10 p.m. Saturday at 27265 N. Bradley, Assistant Fire Chief Michael Cloe said. The barn, part of a horse-stabling business, was empty at the time, as it was being remodeled, Cloe said.

One firefighter suffered a hand injury at the scene; no other injuries were reported.

Cloe said the cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimate was available Sunday.
