We need candidate who'll fix Springfield

I just read the article in the Herald titled "If state had term limits," and I felt compelled to comment on it. It mentions "Rauner's plan cuts to the heart of the way Springfield works." Shouldn't it have said "the way Springfield doesn't work?"

State Sen. Terry Link also comments, "You're going to end up with a team that's very bad and not producing what you want." Sorry, Senator, we already have that team, which is why the state is in the shape it is.

The state is a mess, yet I don't understand why people don't want to shake things up. Remember the definition of insanity? There have been several comments about Rauner spending his own money and "buying" the election. Really? How is that different from the unions buying the other politicians?

If the experience of the politicians is so good, and the inexperience of a business person is so bad, why is the state such a mess?
