St. Charles school bus hit by pellets

An empty St. Charles school bus was hit by BBs or pellets Wednesday afternoon, the Kane County Sheriff's Office said.

The bus driver reported hearing something hit the bus near the driver's side window at about 4 p.m. near the intersection of Fieldcrest Drive and Route 31, police said in a news release. After inspecting the bus, police say at least four spots were hit by BBs or pellets.

Nobody was injured, and deputies continue to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Kane County Sheriff's Office or St. Charles police.
