Lake Zurich High hosts concert:

Lake Zurich High School hosts the 8th annual Wind Ensemble Invitational Concert on Friday, March 14. The concert, which is free and open to the public, will feature performances by the Lake Zurich High School Wind Ensemble, the Fremd Symphonic Winds and the Glenbard West Symphonic Band. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Lake Zurich's Performing Arts Center with Fremd under the direction of Matt Moore and Jeremy Figlewicz. They will be followed by Glenbard West under the direction of Jonathan Walsh, and the concert will conclude with Lake Zurich, directed by Josh Thompson. The concert will feature music of Vincent Persichetti, Clifton Williams, Karl King, and Marcel Wengler. The Lake Zurich Wind Ensemble will also premiere a piece by Jess Langston Turner called "Noche Triste," written for the Consortium for the Advancement of Wind Band Music. Lake Zurich High School is at 300 Church St., Lake Zurich.
