Aurora's economic development partnership launches website

Seize the Future Development Foundation, Aurora's economic development public/private partnership, has announced the launch of its website, investinaurora.org, designed to showcase available properties, incentive programs, high-tech options, and other essential information for existing and prospective businesses, developers and redevelopment groups, brokers and the Aurora community.

“With an increasing focus on economic development and the hiring and expansion of a professional staff, it is important for Seize the Future to have a web presence that reflects the advantages to doing business in Aurora,” said David Hulseberg, president of Seize the Future.

“Our website enables Seize the Future to promote Aurora's business advantages, such as a 60-mile fiber optic network, municipal airport, streamlined permitting process and incentive programs, as well as providing information on available properties in Aurora.”

The new website includes information on available properties for lease or sale; enhanced information on incentive programs though the city of Aurora and the state; incentive district maps; enhanced information on Aurora Municipal Airport; enhanced information on OnLight Aurora, Aurora's fiber optic network; easily accessible information on workforce development; resources for entrepreneurs; and information on Aurora's art and entertainment community.

Under new leadership, Seize the Future expanded to a staff of five in late 2013. Additionally, the reach of economic development responsibilities expanded to the entire 46 square miles of Aurora.

The development of the website is an integral part of providing information to businesses, developers and brokers looking to expand or relocate in Aurora. The website will be updated on a regular basis with new information on available properties, incentive programs and current requests for proposals for development ventures.
