Woodland Primary lauded by state:
Illinois State Board of Education officials Thursday announced the three winners of the Illinois Green School Award program. Among the winners was Woodland Primary School in Gages Lake. ISBE officials said Woodland Primary was honored because it has been constantly looking for new and innovative ways to improve the health and wellness of their staff and young students. The Green School Award recognizes schools that save energy, reduce costs, protect student and staff health and wellness, and offer environmental education.
