Team USA members stop in O'Hare

Cheers and chants of "U-S-A!" erupted in Terminal 1 of O'Hare International Airport Monday afternoon as roughly 20 Olympic athletes from Team USA - including four medalists - came through Chicago on their way home from the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

Many of them posed for photos with travelers and signed autographs before connecting to other flights, mainly to Colorado and Utah.

"It's good to be home," said silver medalist speed skater Eduardo "Eddy" Alvarez, of Salt Lake City, the first Cuban-American male to make an American Olympic skating team.

Snowboardcross bronze medalist Alex Deibold, of Boulder, Colo., said the highlight for him was walking with Team USA into the opening ceremonies.

"And I walked home with a bronze medal, so that's pretty cool," he said.
